Walk in the sand - gorgeous Sunday afternoon chill out song!

just beautiful, love the subtle jazzy interlude half way through. Didn't like this much when I first heard it and perhaps it is a filler type track in a style he has done many times over BUT on it's own it really does stand up [IMHO].

I agree, I didn't really care for the song but lately it started to sound in my head and I listened to it again and now I think it is very good. I thought to myself ,,wow, why is this song appealing to me now!" And I was actually gonna go and post my thoughts on the Org!

Finally people are recognizing it! lol. I'm glad. I consider it one of the best songs on 20TEN, if not the best already.

Yes, at 19, I finally saw the Revolution, a legendary band. And I talked to Wendy!!! biggrin In addition to seeing Prince, I have now lived life. Thank you Purple People!!

The other day I put 'Walk In Sand', 'Sea of Everything' and 'Future Soul Song' on repeat while going for a stroll along one of the local beaches. Let me just say - it was the perfect playlist cloud9

When I know that Prince is still making love songs, I wonder why the radio stations don't play anything much newer than, "Kiss."

Can we get 2gether
To talk about everything?
We can talk about all of our dreams
Better yet darling...
We can talk about sleeping in.~0ne

This song was initially my favourite song from 20Ten upon my first hearing of the album. Definitely one of the better ballads in recent years.

In MY honest opinion... anyone who doesn't like this song can not be pleased by anything. It is a very good love song as well as the others on 20Ten. Some people just seem to have a maxi pad stuck up their butts because they don't like all of 20Ten. lmao!!

I was driving around and put the cd in to listen again, and each time I listen to it the more I like it. I had some reservations in the beginning about the whole of the album, but as with all Prince cds, it took a while for the genius of it to sink in... great stuff and can't wait for a new cd to come out so I can hear all the "fans" say they hate it. lol:-P

You might want to consider progesterone therapy, honey. It'll help with little PMS rants like the one you just went on. nod

Oooooh...love the "I know you are but what am I" retort. Clever. Explains your juvenile appreciation for truly lame-ass songs.

Actually, it was funny. And, please enlighten me... what is more juvenile than most of your comments on everything on this site?? Most of it is not funny, so...

P.S. By the way, I'm done with U now, so don't waste your time... flipped off

Truly a Romantic song for those of us who are romantic... anyone else who thinks this is a lame ass song is just on a mission to show no love at all. Perhaps the ones who dislike his latest love songs are saying so because no one would have their non-romantic asses. LMAO

For the rest of us who are beautiful, loved and blessed... keep them kisses comin'!

I love love love this ballad. I've actually walked in sand while listening to the song with a good mp3 player cool it was THAT amazing music

The funny thing about Prince and his post-95 ballads is that, when he tries too hard (Emancipation ballads, The One, ManOwaR, She Loves Me 4 Me, SHOE,) the results are opressive and boring, not sensual/charming (The Dance is the excepction), but when he tosses off a little ballad with no pretensions, the results are top-notch: Wasted Kisses, Satisfied, Call My Name, Colonized Mind or Walk In Sand...
