When he jumped on top of the piano during LGC in PR and played that end solo....the 1st time I heard WYWTMSB....the guitar on PR....his live shows...his personality...his musicianship....his way with melody rhythm and words....the talent he attracts in his bands....the way he interacts with the audience.....the way he fuses so many styles into one.... Appalonia/Mayte/Jill Jones/Sheila E/Vanity that look he gets on his face when he's in that moment on stage.....the way he didn't give a fuck what ANYONE thought.....the way fellow musicians just as badd as him talk about how badd he is.....how he can walk in heels and look cool doin it..... I WANNA FUCKIN DO THAT!!!!! lol

actually my first girlfriend. And also hearing from my sister that there is this dude that when he performs no two shows are tha same.

Several things, but I think when he invited everyone to Paisley Park, that cemented fandom for me. To me that one act of kindness spoke volumes about the man.

When I became a fan of P's music I was feeling disillusioned with my music. I was and still call myself a B*Boy and East Coast Hip Hop was 'my music'. Hip Hop changed and with the murder of Biggie Smalls I found myself sick and tired of all the hype Hip Hop Music was getting and something changed in me. I've told this story before but, there was a girl / woman, I was really feeling and she was listening to The Gold Experience, so I thought, let me at least know what type of music she likes or love. Well, we didn't work out but, The Gold Experience blew my mind. 'P Control' caught my attention because I was a Hip Hop head. I used to play music when I was younger. Trumpet was my first instrument and then I dabbled on drums a little. Prince's music and the organic sound of the albums from the first 10yrs to now keeps my attention peaked. His transitions in his career have kept me wanting more too ...
