This song is Thee best slap in the face for a-hole orgers that are jaded and diss Prince/or are MJ fans and just try to sabotage good clean fun here on the org. Several orgers here crapped there pants when they heard this song..they knew they done got told..by the man himself. idiots. The song is best served loud. very loud. Actually, most of us a-hole and jaded Orgers thought it was the best damn thing he'd put out in over a decade and have been trying to piss him off ever since so we can get a whole decent F.U.N.K album out of his stale ass.
Yeah, I said it! What's he gonna do about it? NOTHING!
I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

Although i disagree with alot of stuff that he does (not allowing his music on youtube for example), i can understand his frustation to a degree. Its unfair that a guy in his fifties is expected to create albums like Purple Rain and Sign of the times. And when he doesnt do so, his "fans" constantly diss him on this site. I think that might have to do something with this track. Nobody his age is at their musicial peak.

good try..but hes smarter than that...are u that egocentric to think he actually makes music and releases music based on your personal whining? if what u say is true..than that song should have shut u up..but nooo...whine whine whine...3121 alone is as good as f.u.n.k., and to all the haters on the internet...nobodys lookin at u...(dont u get it)? Lawdy... "Its flier to B hungry than fat"

funny thing is, the music/backing track sounds like something from the vault.....possibly even most of the lyrics are based on something he'd done in days gone past - he just tweaked the lyrics and gave it to us as something new...same as he's done already with some tracks on Lotusflower and 3121 etc....still I wish he'd do that more (I really like most of 3121 & LF)...rather than the syrupy 'no-balls' wimpy funk he's trying to pass off nowdays.....
actually I only believe half of what I wrote just above - but if it means Prince realises that his stuff sounds a little more 'half ass' these days - no, scratch that - not 'half-ass' more like 'hass-been' then maybe he'll release a few more gems from the vault....there are still plenty in there - so long as he doesn't water them down - I like my funk on the rocks! I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.

It is so not that serious. I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

This song is one of his best in many many years. This alone proves he is on top and not resting on his laurels.

If by a-hole Orger you mean somebody with a balanced view and not somebody latched on to the Purple teat lapping everything up in the hope that he'll notice....then I guess I'm one. To my knowledge this wasn't a slap down to sone Orgers...it was apparently a soap down to THE ORG in general (and other sites who dated to use anything Prince related without compensating him handsomely). Personally I don't hear that in the song anyway...I hear something about those around him trying to sell him out.

So if he's not bowing to fan opinion then his bowing down to Benjsmin Franklin and his green friends.

This cut is where I got my username from! (duh) But as I understood it, Prince was lashing back at all the criticism he was receiving from his going crazy on the interwebs, tryna shut any and everything that had to do with him. Hence the P-FU site. I also recall him taking jabs at Perez Hilton. Which is the funniest part of the song. A then 49 year old Jehovahs Witness threatening physical violence towards a gay, overweight blogger. LMMFBAO!!!
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
No... Perez hilton is a fan of Prince's and usually always only posts good positive stuff up on Prince..I think it was geared towards the infamous Ernest...at the risk of giving Ermest this credit, I think he is the "big fat punk" in the song..Vitirol...u say? "Its flier to B hungry than fat"
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Lol...the song has nothing to do with Michael Jackson fans. And calling anyone an idiots is uncalled for and rude.
And nobody crapped themselves when they heard this song. Nobody feels threatened by Prince.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Pity it was still shit. | |
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
nobody ever mentioned the word "Threatened"...how very revealing of u! and I was referring to MJ fans that talk smack about Prince on this org... "Its flier to B hungry than fat"
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Lol...none of them do. What would be the point of them joining just to mkae fun of Prince?
And second of all, what was revealing about it?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
dont tell us none of them talk smack...who r u trying to convince? us or yourself?? its revealing because u are on a Prince sight but u only 'like" him...and u will easilt say u hate a prince fan...yet Ive never even adressed u personally. "Its flier to B hungry than fat"

Jesus PPL ........ chill Ax....
to me it's music and a way for him 2 expresses him self..... who r we to put such expectations and demands on him.... we don't have to listen to it if we don't like it......
it's his music not ours to have the right to tell him how it should or shouldnt b
i just wanted to know what u thought about the song because i had not heard of it until now.... BUT !!!!

Fantastic song. Shame it took all of that nonsense 2 get it out of him. Listen to me on The House of Pop Culture podcast on itunes http://itunes.apple.com/u...d438631917

I listened to it recently & wondered who he was coming at! BTW killer track.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Anyway, that's not the point of the song.
The song was released after the formation of the PFU group. Hence why the song was titled PFUNK. It was a direct response to his fans bitching at him. Fans in general, Not supposed MJ fans who are here to disrupt Prince's image, lmao.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
agreed..but if read closer you would have seen I said AND/OR mj fans bitching...but who can decipher whos who on here? so my inclusion of them is valid..but totally agree with your comment, nonetheless. "Its flier to B hungry than fat"

Lol, so now you're telling me what I think right? Like you would know...
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
THe PFU was created by a team including BEN (remember him, the guy that OWNS this site) to try and protect the website being closed by a control freak. If it was "good clean fun" then the person trying to sabotage it was Prince himself (or in this case mostly his flunky Kathy)
As said above, if that causes him to release funkier music such as this then please keep the lawsuits coming !

Surely he's the only one responsible for his pedestal?
"I've got more hits than Madonna's got kids!" "I am music."
Not exactly modest comments by anyone's reckoning. So when someone that we all admire so much claims so much we feel cheated when he doesn't deliver what he's lead us to believe.
The trouble with Prince, or anyone of that fame, is that they have no understanding of what it's like to be on the other side of the fence. The admiration and passion so many have for them is always underestimated. Perhaps even undervalued.
On a side note, Madonna only has four children. Two of them are adopted. I don't know if Prince would class that as a cover song. Either way it's not that many when compared to hit singles. For him at least.
On another side note, wtf are these MJ terrorists you are all talking about? Here to disrupt the Org and slander Prince's otherwise immaculate persona? And there I was panicking about Al Qaeda and the increased threat to the British mainland, the world government bodies trying to shut down Wikileaks and the increasing rise of British petrol (which currently stands at $7.96 a US gallon).

i didnt know about the "I am music" quote
As far as hits are concerned, he has written over 20 top 10 hits. So i can understand if he wants to brag a little. he never said that he had alot of hits he had written previously, he was talking about past achievements.
