Last night some band was playing in a club(? don't know what kind of place it was called, it was a burger place but people only mostly came in for drinks) and they played 'Kiss' and my friend was started saying, 'Didn't Prince became a JW? Awesome!' and then she also mentioned how that she was impressed and respected that despite all the fame and fortune how he was courageous to take a stand for his beliefs. That was the exact same thing I felt when I heard he became my brother.

I had the total CD in my hand and my grandma asked if one of the singers on the cover was Prince

My mom called his symbol 'the symbol of shit'

mom said the beginning of mj's why you wanna trip on me sounds very prince

I started talking to someone in retail about mj when billie jean was on, around allegations time, and he brought up prince and said people like them are seen as weird and feminine and I was defending them both though he was not saying it rudely

I worked in a group home a few years ago and said I like a lot of old school music and instead of saying mj who I love way more, this time I said "artists including prince" cause I was playing him so much around that time and things were quiet with mj anyways, and the worker said he sucks and isn't original at all, I was just like WTF, cause I thought he was cool but then lost points with him. You don't have to be a fan, just appreciate his talent, musicianship and contribution to the music world and leave it at that

My friend said he likes Prince, but I don't think he knows anything other than the 80's classics

My friend from the UK loves songs from Emancipation and was sending me a few links, as I don't have that one. I probably told him to check out New Power Soul.

I have a purple rain t shirt my sister wears often, and she likes to wear it to annoy one of my mom's friends who likes to ask her about whether she was even born when it came out LMAO

I was very impressed with Prince's change of course! I recently read how Prince got off stage during a November concert and passed out JW literature! Very impressive indeed!

I recently took my teenagers to a Prince concert in NJ. Their father called and my 15 year old daughter was like "We're at a Prince concert." Their father replied, "I hope he sings stuff that kids can listen to and is not x-rated." I was like, "where have you been because Prince music has drastically changed."

"You need to laydown and let me show you how we do this thing up in funky town. From the heart of Minnesota here come the purple Yoda guaranteed to bring the dirty new sound! Come on, now!"

I think my sister must have been about 10 and When Doves Cry was on TV. She thought it was MJ for a few seconds, so I told her about Prince, his "rival" in the 80's and then went on about loving the song when I was a kid.

She's Got the Look was on tv one time, and that was around the time she went through all of my mj CD's and fell in love, she glanced at the tv and went THAT was his rival? lol but then a year later, she decided he's cute and liked a lot of his songs like 1999, little red corvette, when doves cry, sign o the times which she'd put on repeat

A girl I went to school with was a prince fan and went to his show, so I started to ask her all these questions about him, and she had no clue what I was talking about, nor did she know about Vanity 6, so I introduced her to them.

A guy I know is a major Prince fan and went to his concert and even met him at a fan party or something like that and they had a conversation.
