I first need to acknowledge that this song is one of my top 10 favorite Prince songs when I'm in the mood for party, dance, funk songs.

Secondly, I am aware of the rumors that this song was written about his experience with X.

But I don't think the org has given enough attention to the fact that the lyrics are still WTH-weird. Squirrel meat? Drinking the blood?? On X or not....that is still out there!

I agree, one of my fave party tunes.

I've always thought this was more a case of Prince channelling his inner-George Clinton. It's like he's just come up with the dirtiest, scariest, weirdest stuff he can- all in the name of funk!

OK - I googled "squirrel meat ecstasy" and I can't find a connection.

How do you know that squirrel meat = ecstasy.

I never heard anyone calling X "squirrel meat."

I'm just saying...
