When I was at the wrecka stow to buy it, they were playing ICNTTPOYM, and I said 'Hey I know that song' and I didn't even realize it was him! This is not music, this is a trip

23 and I'l be 24 next month. I've listened to Prince since I was 4 when I first heard 1999 and LRC, became a fan at 5 after I first heard When Doves Cry and realized that I'd always be a fan at 9, when I heard all of the Purple Rain album. I became Die-hard at 12 around the D & P period. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that | |

I still can remeber the 1st time I saw him...It was 1984, he was singing Purple rain on the TV, I was 10 ans it was love at 1st sight. In 1997 I bought the single of S.O.T.T./B-side LaLaLaHeHeHe...Then Lovesexy, then I bougth whatever had been created by HIM before, until now...

Hi, I'm 24. I first took an interest in Prince with the release of "Diamonds and Pearls", which I copied from CD to tape from a video store. I got the Symbol album after that, also copied from the same store and started to actually buy his CDs around the time of The Gold Experience, Come and Chaos and Disorder albums and the official release of the Black Album. I also had Batman on tape from those early copying days, in fact that was probably my first Prince album, come to think of it. Anyway it was only midway through last year that I decided to buy his whole back catalogue on Cd along with all official DVDs. I'm still catching up with films like Under the Cherry Moon though, but I'm starting to become something of a collector, you might say. | |

I'm 23. Became a fan in early 2002 when I saw a commercial for The Rainbow Children on television. I didn't think I'd become such a huge fan, but after listening to that album I just had to get all his others, and before you know it I was coming on here and calling myself a fam.
Before this I had only been a mild Prince fan.I had seen Purple Rain as a kid and watched his offbeat videos, and I remember particularly liking the 7 video a lot. Then I heard Mariah Carey's cover of The Beautiful Ones and Alicia Keys How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore. Then BET aired Purple Rain and I watched it with a whole new appreciation.I really enjoy being a Prince fan, it's like a way of life for me and I always seem to find new discoveries. Like when I saw Girl 6 for the first time.The whole damn movie had Prince songs playing throughout it. Prince fam 4 life!
