Any Prince fans here in their teens or early 20s?? I'm just wondering...since most of his fans are probably in their 30s now and got hooked on him during his peak in the 80s...anyone here became a fan in the late '90s or after?? what attracted you to Prince's music... "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

Hi, my name's Nick and I'm 21. Um, I've had a Prince problem since I was...oh wait.
I think I started getting into Prince around about 1992 when I was about 11 and was given a tape of D & P by my aunt, who worked at WBs. I do remember being aware of tracks like "When Doves Cry", "Purple Rain" and "Sign 'O' The Times" before that however, and loving them, but it's not like I had the disposable income to buy the albums!  | |

Im 19, Purple Rain became my babysitter when I was 2. My father collected all of Ps lps, and when I was in preschool, and I was singing, they wouldn't now what I'd be talkin about. I don't hit 20 until May. | |

I got really in2 Prince when I first saw him live in ´98 including the aftershow (Cologne). Before that I wasn´t into Prince that much. I respected him as a musician who is xtraordinary talented, but I got a friend who wouldn´t stop talkin´about Prince everytime we met, so I guess that caused a phobia... But since ´98 I can´t get enough of his royal purpleness. I even bought all his official solo CD´s at once. And I love them all. Im 26 ...I hardly think that fans in their 20's is unusual
Now if you are a teenager now and a fan that may be a bit rare and unusual Iv lived with Prince in my house my entire life and have been well aware of who he is since his beginng in the public eye | |

I'm 23, going on 24 in a couple of months. The hits/b sides collection back in '93 got me hooked. Hearing Cream and 7 on the radio at the time helped too. | |

20 and the thang got me hooked 2 Prince is RAVE's cover YEP  it was last year.
I digged Rave unlike the most of ya'll and then I started buying the Hits/B-Sides which lead me to buy ALL OF HIS LPS. What make me loves him even more is the way he write his lyrics,,,,the brutha come up with lines that can't cross nobody's mind.
