Prince Music Symbiosis (Mutualism if you want to be picky). This will no doubt be of absoloutely no interest to anyone but me (and possibly the other person...if they are on here and if they know who I am)but it's no use rattling around in my head I've told the story many times of the friend who got me into Prince originally, shaped my formative years, saved my life etc etc but who I eventually fell out with/grew apart from after a number of rocky years. I've just this second realised that I was absoloutely in love with Princes music up until the point this friend and I 'split' - since then I've been disappointed by Princes music on the whole. I wonder if it's because all his Pre-Rave stuff is associated with all those formative years and when said friend and I went it alone it drew a line under that. Just thinking out loud

It was an interesting and promising thread title that ultimately disappointed. The problem here is that you left no room for discussion. If someone can simply say 'ok' to a thread's first post, the thread shouldn't exist.

No offense, but if this is the case why would you post this thread in the first place?

And on the other hand I found ut fascinating how we can easily say that music can change your perception of life....but rarely that your life can change your perception of music. Something went out of the fabric that formed our friendship when that friendship ended..... Guess it's like a see-saw, pretty shit for one person
