So happy 2day

have u ever wondered, how nice it is 2 have such artists as Prince around...?
i'm just feeling so happy and positive about the music, because the first thing i do every morning when i get up - i put some Prince music on!
and have u ever wondered, how u felt in luv wit da man? i mean, my first experience was the Gold Experience, and i've loved him ever since! but how did u fall in love, or at least started 2 like him?? lol
and how did u find any other people, who like him as much or even more as u do??
i just thought about how nice it is 2 have a site like this, to b able 2 create this kind of history... i really love this website and the people that r using it!
anyway, this doesn't really sound like me, bacause there ain't any questions bout sex, porn or things, but i just wanted 2 share my joy wit all of u fans outdere!!

so peace, and love4oneanother!

luv ya all and take care (by listening 2 Prince)!!''

I think I first took notice when Alphabet St. came out. Thought it was funky and different. Then I bought Lovesexy and liked it a lot. Then I saw that they were showing the Lovesexy concert from Germany on UK TV. It was my first experience of seeing Prince live and I was just blown away.

I thought to myself "I've never seen or heard anything like it" and I was just captivated. I mean, the horns which finish Eye Know and lead into Lovesexy was something I'd never heard before and then Prince shouting "Europe let's do something!" and then launchinfg into Lovesexy. AHHH, still one of my favourite Prince moments. From then on I set out to find out as much as I could about Prince, which wasn't easy in the UK in'88. Then in about '89 I found the Controversy mag.

I was thinking the other day that between the ages of about 14 - 18 I would listen to Prince on my walkman every night in bed. It was a great comfort in difficult times.

I guess I was in the 7th or 8th grade. I remember my friends and I watching MTV when he came on singing Little Red Corvette. I have been hooked since (thank God for MTV)
He was sooo sexy in that video.

Most people think I'm crazy for being a fan, but I was at a football game in 2000, and I was telling some friends that I was going to the Vegas concert. One of my friends didn't say a word..she just started to cry! I was like...what is wrong with you? She said..."Oh girl...you just don't know how much I love him...I would love to go to that concert". sad

Thanks to the NPGMC I got front row seats to the Little Rock concert and invited her to go with me. We had such a great time. It is so much fun to be there with someone who is as big of a fan as I am. (Although, I was pissed because he gave her his guitar pick during the show instead of me) mad...lol.

After the concert, we saw him on his bus in front of his hotel...once he went inside we took our pictures at the bus and laughed about being 30+ and acting like 2 teenage groupies. We met some great people there (hi PsychedelicMama) wave who I still keep in touch with!
If U set your mind free, baby, maybe U'd understand...

This is so coool!!
I have been a fan of Prince since 1984 when I heard on a sunday night program on Radio 1 ( back when they played music) this awesome guitar driven song - Purple Rain - from the very first chord of the track I was hooked, I spent the next six years buying anything and everything Prince.
You name it I bought it...magazines, books, posters anything. Prince's music was my life all through my teenage years ( in 1984 I was 14) the first single I bought was a double A sided Lets go crazy with Take me with you on side A and Erotic city on side B...I bought every single and 12 inch record as well as any available Picture disc..I saw Prince live at Wembley Arena on Wednesday 16th August 1986 the only time I have seen him live...that is one night I will remember for the rest of my life...Awesome!!
Sadly my collection of vinyl left home in the early 90's with an ex girlfriend, I only hope she looked after them...I still have his complete works on CD with the exception of Crystal Ball and One night alone...I have a family now and I have to be boring and prioritise things...but it is so good to see people keeping his music alive...Prince's music will be around for a long time with the help of people like you...
