Do you think Prince will perform "Avalanche" any time soon? I would love to hear it at the concert! Plus, I think he should sing it in his concert on 2/7 because of black history month.

'Avalanche' appears to be one of the more sincere songs Prince has written in a political theme. Dear Mr Man and Resolution and poor beyond description, frankly, and should be consigned to history pretty rapidly. "Ronnie' is as much nonsense as the Republican President's rule, so little blame for him in this vein.
Prince seems to have forgotten how to write songs about life. I think it's because he's quite happy. When you're happy what you feel and what you think become awful. When you're angry and when you fell betrayed or outraged, you write vigorously.
I would like Prince to write with vigour.

How can anyone be taken seriously, politically, if they don't vote? Unless you're running for candidacy yourself, then voting is your way of stating your political beliefs and aspirations.
But let's be clear, little P's only answer to any political dilemna was always to bonk! Now, i'm not saying that's a bad choice... it's better than his other option of becoming a jehova!
But seriously, as a few of you have already said - his lyrical attempts at politics are cringe-worthy, like most of his songs now. Naive and childish. The man can groove, that's a given, but the world in P's head is far more important than the real one that most of the rest of us live in on a daily basis.
If you want musical politics from a little guy in Minnesota, stick with old-school Dylan, there's plenty there for everyone. Prince M&M people are as mad as a bag of sparrows. Fact.
