It didn't sound out of place when I first heard the Black Album, before I heard Lovesexy. It sounded out of place on Lovesexy to me back then. There's no mention of "new power", or a higher spiritual quest, and the sound was more controlled and dense and uniform (like the Black Album) compared to all the other spastic, fast produced, chaotic tracks on Lovesexy. I agree with a previous poster, When 2 R In Love is so out of place in the Black Album. And it isnt because it's a bad song it's just because it's too sweet(?) Certainly a very funky album that never needed a ballad in the first place. If The Black Album was a movie the director would have cut the W2RIL scene cos it slowed the movie down
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
