I think Prince got a lot of his greatness from his influences back in the day. It's really a shame how the music world is just ruined by the industries finding the next quick money making hit rather than showcasing talent. The good side of it for me is that I'm able to catch up on the oldies and I'm saving money on what I'm not spending on today's trash.
I already have most of the old stuff that I like and the stuff that I don't already have is so rare that you can't buy it anymore and you have to download it, so that saves me some money.
I take that money I save on buying new music and buy DVDs of old TV shows now. TV with all it's rediculous reality shows that have taken over, is another media outlet that is just as dead as music these days. Radio ain't worth a damn anymore, TV ain't worth a damn anymore, these are just dead ass times all the way around. A whole new generation has been raised now to be happy with all things that are cheaply made. People have just totally forgotten about luxury and escapism these days.
So, so true. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?" |

I love the track "LayDown". I love the funk-rock sound to it. |

I've only just listened to the whole album for the first time. Twice actually, back to back.
It's an absolute travesty. Future Soul Song is great, but the rest belongs in the bin.
