***Interesting cuz I'm all about the old pre-Supernatural Santana. With the feeling his greatest works truly represented (who he was & is) back then. So I feel ya there. But your remark,
saying hes playing with people he don't truly respect? Thats a pretty harsh statement. I never heard that come from his mouth about the artist he's blended with.

I may not dig some of them, and what they create from that "pop" standpoint but Santana i'm sure is not going 2 make music with someone he don't respect. 4 whatever reason people work with certain people can B as shallow as wanting a huge #1 record...Or it can B through a backstage meeting somewhere with props given both wayz & the last words being: "lets do a song 2gether"...And they hook-up like that...Or maybe Santana does dig a certain lesser artist. But his biz reasons and directions in doing what he does, is him putting that finale stamp of OK/Yes on it, so hes down.

Like Prince...Its there journey...No matter what the hardcore fans may think about it...Its just a matter of letting a artist B who he feels he needs 2 B at any givien time and let him gain a great joy with that project or later regret doing it...Its there art 2 make or break... blend or bend, thats the end~

First off it is time for my bi-annual speech for the new orgers who think Prince will trot out this double album of new music and will floor all of music and return to the days of 83-89 where Prince was #1 on the Billboard charts.

It aint gonna happen .

Even during the "good ole days" Prince only had 4 # 1 songs.
When Doves Cry,Lets Go Crazy, Kiss, Batdance. That's it!

The industry HATES Prince Roger Nelson because he cannot be controled. He has seen many great artists sucked dry by greedy record managers,promoters,& labels. When he refused to play that game they set out to destroy him.

This almost worked because Prince went crawling to the fabled Clive Davis in order to regain his "status".This damn near destroyed Clive,who was removed from the head of his own record label.Rave un2 the Joy fantastic was released in the same fashion as Santana's Supernatural. Lots of "trendy" stars guesting on the album and Prince updating his style in a 90's fashion.

Well you know the rest. Many of yall bitched and moaned about the album ,sales didnt go anywhere without Clive's support, & Prince running into problem after problem.Wife acts a fool and they divorced.Mom & Dad died.Then came the liberation TRC, and the much needed FUK U to all of the nitpickers out there.

So when you ask where's Prince ?
The words of the song tells you where he is !
