That's what I was thinking...that the symbol represented this perfect fit between 1 man and 1 woman that was made for each other...I also think it adds a little flavor by being able to see a cross there...like the perfect love through GOD, by GOD, and because of GOD. That little added twist represents how creative love can be and how love reaches from one end to the next. I think Prince using it shows how he really views love between a man and a woman...its a perfect loved and should be celebrated and represented! Prince is deep. The symbol is AWESOME!

Adding to the discussion I did like the word play that it created when people would write Prince Symbol, the words combined could be pronounced Principle.

Yes it could if you say it fast, it rolls out just like principle! The symbol is a powerful statement created by Prince's creative imagination that represents so much...only PRINCE knows what it represents, since he is the one that created it, so we must go by what he says. It's the love symbol #2.

It could be seen also as this perfect combination between spirituality(the cross), sexuality(man sign) and love(woman sign)...Prince did say something along the lines of sex=spiritual union. And he often connects sex and love.

Or it could just be representative of GOD's perfect creation...man and then using a piece of man to create woman..explains why signs for man and woman are connected...

Who knows? It definately shows this perfect fit connecting the male and female signs. Could just represent what Prince views himself as...the beautiful, unique, and perfect mix of male and female (he admitting to being in touch with his fem side) created by GOD!
