They were surprised at how many songs they knew, but never knew it was Prince singing. They have fallen in love. They asked me to bring two Prince CDs next week. So I'll oblige! I also just bought two copies of The Hits/B-Sides off of Amazon (only £4.99 each) as a little gift for each of them.

Finally, I won't be alone in the Purple Rain

I have a similar problem where the people I know diss Prince, they have hardly heard any of his music just have stupid unbased opinions like 'duh isn't he gay?'

But I played The Holy River the other day and my cousin said "ooh he's quite good actually"

you should introduce them to the delights of the visual!.. that's how you will get em hooked

now i have a story how recently my husband worked with a young bloke, 20yrs old who never even heard of prince.. he played him songs off of the ultimate album.. he didn't recognise nothing! so far i wanted to cry!

then he brought up a pic on his phone.. only then does the young bloke recognise prince.. but he was like, yeah i know him, god he's soooooo gay!!!!!

my husband says no he ain't, check out his bird.. bria valentine

& the young bloke was like phwoarr!.. but prince is still girlier than her..

but by the end of the day after his intro to prince, the guy was downloading some purple tunes.

It dosent matter if people think Prince is Gay...look at George Micheal and Elton John?...still popular 2day....its his "weird" behaviour that buts people off...all his own doing ofcourse...however musically he cant be touched...well the first half of his career anyway
