I think that is the line, instead of attitude. I always thought it was attitude, until I listened closely to try to figure out the line in question. Still have no idea what he's saying in the other verse though.

I long ago stopped using the DTT as a credible source for Prince lyrics. I think it was their version of "Glass Cutter" or something like that that finally convinced me that they were clueless.

Yea, just listened to the Live version from 81' in NY..and it is "Where u get the energy" and as for the first part, it's still hard to tell what hell he's sayin.
