"The Beautiful Experience" - 14 configurations During the "Box Talk 777" segment that aired on "The Box" in early 1994, Mayte says "And after we release 'The Beautiful Experience' on 14 configurations.."
At the time, was the "different languages" concept reported anywhere, or was this fan speculation? Considering that many of the new songs at the time were referred to as "experiences" (Hate experience, Beautiful experience, Wild experience, Space experience, Now experience, etc) that theroy does make sense..
But if she talking about the "Beautiful Experience" as a concept, including the film & aborted EP that was blocked by WB (with the 6 new tracks), that would mean the intention was to release the ep (cd, cassette, vinyl), the film (vhs, laserdisc, tv).. and what else.. the cd-rom, makes 7..
Or it could have just been a fancy way of announcing the various versions of "TMBGITW" that were released as singles (Staxowax, Mustang, the sax versions, etc)
Does anyone have any real knowedge about what those "14 configurations" were supposed to be?

Mayte probably just meant the various versions, I think the NPG Horns' players' Sax version even had it's own release and NPG Magazine mentioned the language variations. I don't think Mayte would have had much insight/imput into the configerations of the actual Beautiful Experience EP. 3121... Don't U Wanna Come?

well, at the time, Prince used Mayte alot to announce information (the clip is on Youtube, just search "Mayte Garcia ; Box Talk".. it's really fascinating, and brings back memories)..
thanks for the info that 'NPG Magazine' reported on the language variations
