Any Hope For Prince Releasing New Cd Anytime Soon? I hope so he gives us an album this year, I can only hope. What do you guys think?

Well, looking at his past track record I would say that it's fairly likely that before December 31, 2011 there will be a new Prince album released. In the meantime why not try revisiting some of his albums that you may not have heard as much as the others? [Edited 1/6/11 9:13am] | |

I'm still holding out for a double album of jazz/rock fusion instrumentals, one can only hope.

I'm still waiting on 20TEn Deluxe.....  will ALWAYS think of  like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. | |

Why can't someone release an album called 2010 in a year other than 2010? Like, this is music I made in 2010

Well technically the album is called 20Ten, and knowing Prince it has absolutely nothing to do with the year 2010. So, there ya GO...... Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews. | |

yeah worth noting is that I wouldn't necessarily want a 20Ten Deluxe to be the only album he puts out this year. probably a double album, a la LotusFlow3r/MPLSound, called "Welcome 2 America" with 20TEN (deluxe) as a bonus disc. if there's any record label or retail outlet out there still stupid enough to put up with him. | |

On paper that looks great but often Prince's instrumental albums are too sedate for my tastes. I would love for him to do some lively instrumental music that is heavy on guitar with some driving drums. As long as their was a healthy dose of "rock" mixed in with the "jazz" I would be happy. | |

Even though I don't really like N.E.W.S. I have to agree. Prince circa 2000-2003 seemed a little too underground/experimental and I was very happy when he released Musicology but from 2004-2010 he wasn't underground/experimental enough. It would be great if he struck more of a balance. He could release some more adventurous music one year and release something more mainstream the next. Ideally I would like to see him mix both into one album but I can see why fans of his instrumental music are hungry for more. | |

I've always loved the "underground Prince" best. Yeah, his pop stuff is catchy. But it was the "edge" that drew me in to begin with. I'd really like to go there again someday. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. | |

Same thing but i don't see a new masterpiece coming in Prince's Discography ...for me it's Dead.....my hopes are only for the Remasters+Bonus???
