What was the reason Prince replaced his rhythm section? Do you think Prince wasn't satisfied with Dunhams? Any input? i must say Prince sounds much better since he added Blackwell and Bassida. Groove is more tight and much funkier.

Maybe because the Dunhams were PATHETIC?

Prince has stated in an interview last November:
Besides, I'm changing my band every few years, with that it's still a bit exciting for me to.
So I guess that would be the reason. It's nothing but a guess though. You mean you're gonna actually hear what we play tonight? You're not gonna make up the notes in your mind?

Maybe they got a better gig. Playing with Prince is one thing, but maybe being offered your own record deal is better. or possibly they wanted to work with another artist and the opportunity came up. He changes his musicians so often, there's probably a million reasons why they come and go. For example, Tony M quit because he heard Burger King was hiring. Now he's worked his way up to Night Manager.

Hmm, I wouldn't be surprised if being the night manager at Burger King pays better than being Prince's rapper.
