Something like that MIGHT happen in the end. Now weither live shows will be associated to the remasters or not remain to be seen, and i also feel that such a release would be incomplete without a DVD release of the August 1983 First Avenue!!!

Also, it wouldn't make much sense to include Apollonia 6 and Ice Cream Castles songs on this release: if Prince's versions are to be released (and hopefully they will be), they should be released with the remasters of the respective albums they belong 2!!! As 4 Modernaire, i don't think there's a version with Prince on vocals, and André owns the masters of his version (despite P playing on it). I'm sure that André would be more than happy to make big bucks by allowing P 2 use it, but it'd definitely feel outta place here, it would fit better on a compilation of songs written/produced 4 other artists, alongside Sugar Walls, Stand Back and such...

Modernaire is Dez, not Andre, I guess you knew that. Not sure about him having the masters, since IIRC, the released version was from a tape copy, so I'd guess the masters are in some dusty box somewhere (Warners? Paisley Park?).

What 2 expect from Prince in 2011.....i don't know because i'm not in Prince's mind but i know what i want.....Another traditionnal forgettable album since NEWS(2003).....i don't want another one...in fact i will prefer 10 million times a Deluxe album(s) + bonus from his back catalogue than any new album with new Material!!

I want new music with fresh innovating ideas, or at least music with the current trends, not JW 80s sounding songs/albums.

I dont want to hear anything more of 70s and 80s, the past is dead, this is the 2000s.

U must have missed an episode, though: Dez DID release Modernaire a few years back on his A Retrospective compilation, and later released it as a single with several (contemporary) remixes. So it's not in a dusty box and it's Dez' property

Where were you for the whole "The Internet Is Dead" Fiasco? The Media tore apart a perfectly good interview by Prince & Pasted together the now infamous quote, "The Internet Is Dead".
It's prolly safe to say that Itunes will not be stocked with Prince's entire back catalog & future recordings.

With that said, I'm just waiting for a new album & full U.S. tour.
