got twitter? whenever i find out details i'll let u know...i get all the prince info tweets sent directly to the phone..... .. but considering the 2 izod were vip celebrity and family/friends of the band and that the first msg night was only a afterparty that he didn;t play only made a appearance....DON"T get your hopes up. mine aren't. and i'm going to all 5 shows

With the blizzard we've just had here over the last 24 hrs, I would be surprised if there was an aftershow but then again, this is Prince we're talking about here. Be ready for anything.

you jusdt have to know someone and if u don't your fucked. man i wish i was older! aftershows back in the day didn't sound anything like all this hassle.

But it's not your RIGHT to an aftershow... You paid for a ticket, you got a really good show. You'd be "fucked" if you paid for a ticket and he didn't show up for the concert.

The aftershows of the past weren't free... we paid as much as another concert for a few of them.

Exactly, also, there's a difference between an aftershow and an afterparty. An aftershow is where he actually performs, but you take chances with an afterparty expecting him to perform just because he shows up at a club with some of his close friends/celebities/bandmates, when there is never a guarantee that he will perform. Besides, for an afterparty, who just wants to stand around observing celebs , going "ooh", "ahhh" like they're animals in a petting zoo? As long as I enjoy the main show, then I'm happy. Aftershows, well, if you're lucky to get there and get in, then that's great and worth it for all the memories, but if not, oh well, there's always a "next" time.

screw a afterparty. i want a aftershow! i grew up going to see all the local bands at firehouse halls and american legions!!'ive just seen alot bands in small initimate venues and met alot of celebrities.i'm into alot of paranormal tv shows and meet taps and ghost adventure guys billions of times and hung out most of the night at bars or 24 diners with just a small group of us and them...... i feel spoiled with all of them cause prince is on a totally different level. i wish i could see prince at a small venue and he'd do lesser known songs...but ain't 1978!!prince,madonna,mj totally different level by themselves! look how big korn was and then they play starland ballroom in sayerville and jon came out to meet fans. i'm still shocked over that 3 yrs later....i'm just disgruntled cause prince is so huge and don't do the meet and greets and stuff like that anymore

oh yeah thats another point...99% of the concerts i've been to i'm front row center. i don't have 700 bux to do that for prince!

I can tell U right now though that the blizzard and lack of snow removal throughout NYC is going to hamper that, sure its up to Prince to play an aftershow, BUT its up to the venue to house it, alot of clubs in NYC were still closed, and most have been closing early due to lack of staffing, so, unless we have a miracle snow melt over night, odds arent good.

anyone got a time machine? i wanna go back to 78-2004! well esp 87-90..alot of great music out then!

I was wondering the same thing if there would be an aftershow/Party...the thing is in the City the snow has been removed much better than in the boro's so I can't imagine why they would not have one. I just want to go! lol
