Dirty Mind Era Pic?? I was wondering if this could've gone in the "Prince's Hair" thread, but i dunno. So I came across this pic about a week and a half ago and was wondering if this is from the Dirty Mind era, in which I'm pretty sure it is. Maybe it's just a longer version of the Dirty Mind 'curly/ruffle fro' thing.
Yes, he has the mustache, and yes, his hair has the 'dirty' look to it. Or as my mom calls it, the bad perm. But anyway, he looks nice, but just been wondering for a while.

Exactly, but without the blowily texture to it as it is in the Prince era. There are better pics than this to show the transistion (Prince in concert during the Prince era). The Prince era hair is more fine, permed, blow dried. The Dirty Mind is more rugged, unstead of rufflely as in the pic from the American Bandstand photo still.
Also, I support the claim on it going into the Dirty Mind era from the Prince era. And I also think that during the Dirty Mind, era, he just grew it out a bit more. lol I think I'm answering my own question....

I say Prince leading in2 Dirty Mind because the hair was still full and longer

This is my second favorite Prince era. My favorite Prince era is Purple Rain era, obviously, but he is definitely raw as can be and as badass as they come in the Dirty Mind era. I mean...Sister? Head? Wow...you'd never believe it looking at some of these pictures, but he was at his ultimate badass around Dirty Mind. "I never want to stop singing this song!"
