how many Hohners does prince have ? Or has he used the same one all these years. I hope this isnt a ridiculous question I got two sides... and they're both friends. | |

From what I've seen/heard, it's the same one. It's pretty beat up when you look closely at it. I'm sure a lot of it has been updated over the years though.

Haha. I know, imagine if that was the one hes had since WAY WAY back in the day:-o If it is, its amazing it isnt broken and still works, the way he is on stage and everything. Also, he recently gave it to a fan to hold, imagine if she dropped it or something and broke one of the most historic items in princes life. He must have more than one! I bet Prince have at least 100 replicas of Hohner and i bet he don't play original bought on a gas station for a few bucks, but he use it in studio | |

I saw a photo recently (20ten tour in europe) that showed the same serial number on the hohner that I have seen on a photo from the Dirty Mind era...which means the guitar he's currently playing dates back to 1977...whether he bought a bulkload of hohners in the late 70's I guess only he knows LOL...but going by the serial numbers (on the back of the headstock) its the same guitar....
I wish he'd bust out the cloud again though, or the model C..and what about the guitar on the Welcome to America promotional material?
Prince's guitars are as iconic as he is and, like fashion, they'll eventually show up again...I hope |
