i have on of her cds and never opened it. i never seen this performance. i will break down and watch it someday

Weird, maybe, but still one of the craftiest commercial moves that Prince has made in his career. Prince had almost completely disappeared off of the mainstream face of the earth. His performance reminded Jane and Joe Public that he was still alive and kicking and led to a huge concert tour and comeback.

Performance itself was probably a 7 out 10 but Prince at 7 is better than just about anyone else's 10.

No, I just think Prince is weird in general.

I thought is was tasteless. Beyonce sings and dances well, but personally I think she could present herself in a more classy way, with more focus on the music and less on the performance and pulling her own hair while moving up and down and catwalking. But I agree with Letitgo, smart commercial move of Prince...

That's how I see it too. Those 'all-star' performances are normally more hype than substance, and this performance was no exception. But it was still fun, for fun's sake. And it definitely served its purpose. Prince's promotion in the lead-up to the Musicology tour was very well planned and executed.

I think she's cool for the arena she sings in or with but, I thought it was kinda odd seeing her with Prince. Alicia Keyes yes, Beyonce ... Um ... Not so much ...

Iactually remember reading somewhere that Beyonce in an interview stated she did not like how she looked /acted onstage with prince;she stated how she kept pulling the microphone to her self as if she was the only one up onstage performing. She acknowledged her mistake.

The only thing i thought was weird was when i was thinking Prince's penis is probably too small for Beyonce's cavernous, ravenous vagina.

Prince sabotaged her mic stand by removing a screw that holds the mic tightly in place.

I have that on good authority.

It was ok. At least, it served its purpose for Prince.

I think Purple Rain is for Prince to sing and no one else. She kind of hogged the mic =/
