I can totally relate - I even do it at home when my wife comes in the room.

I think tho that's it's got more to do with my own guilt that I'm not doing something more "constructive"...

& that my friends is why I married my wife (she's a Harcore Enthusiat as I am). I could not see myself NOT being married to a woman who wasn't an enthusiast of P's music, it just wouldn't work ... LoL

I'm too obsessive ... Erp ... Did I say that out loud ... LoL

Peace ... & Stay Funky ...

My wife's into P (she even owned Emancipation before we were together) - but not a massive fan.

If I were at work I'd probably feel that way towards a good deal of anything non-work related I'd wanna browse. I read a pretty snarky blog about the city I live in and I remember keeping it ultra discreet when at work. I'm pretty selective about when I flaunt my taste but I don't think you should feel ashamed razz Whenver I've brought up Prince in convo about my music taste it's usually sparked good conversations about musicianship and stuff. Plus I've only met one person to date who doesn't care for Prince, and they're a Jimmy Buffet fan (that's almost a testament to Prince) So...yeah smile

I say you shouldn't be afraid to admit it. Just wear those assless Prince pants and the world will know. I do it once a year... usually right before I am fired from a job. Now that I think about it, maybe you shouldn't do that.

The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. (www.amazon.com/gp/product/1538114623/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0) or www.facebook.com/groups/1...104195943/

I'm 51 and my colleagues know I'm crazy about Prince. I'm a supervisor and my staff have to see my Prince "The Hits" display every time they enter. I might put it away if I have to chew someone out, but usually its there.

I use work as an opportunity to educate people. I've got videos on memory sticks and I trap people and make them watch them. Works every time. They leave saying "wow, I didn't know".

It feels good to have a harmless passion, even though I feel I'm getting up there.

From time to time I look at the org from my desk at work but find myself minimizing the screen if somebody happens to be near my desk in case they see what I'm doing. Now, at 40 am I embarrassed that I'm looking at a music fan website or the fact that it's a Prince website? I'm not knocking the org but I'm a bit ashamed of myself for not sticking by my guns and saying to hell with what people think but all the same, I just don't need the jokes that my colleagues would make if they found out. To me, my interest in Prince's music is very personal. Does anybody else hide their love for Prince's music?

is this about prince, or the fact that you're using a work computer for non-work related time taker uppers?

Everywhere I go, I'm PROUD to say I'm a Prince fan. Sure, folks may scratch their head over it, especially at church, but who cares? I tell them, "if you knew him/his music, you'd understand." But I won't ever be ashamed of loving a man as amazing and sexy as Prince! And most folks look at me weird because I'm young and they figure most fans are older..especially those that find him attractive. We don't even need to talk about the stares/weird looks I get when I proclaim "Prince is the sexiest man I've ever seen. He is just perfection to me!" lol

Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

Awww come on now...

It's better you come out of the closet. Or at the very least...select your friends carefully. True friends and family will always love you no matter what. So what you like Prince? Big deal....to me that means you have taste. biggrin

You know...I used to be a closet fan. Try being a closet MJ AND P fan! lol I kept it to myself for long time because I was afraid of what people would think of me (although if anyone badmouthed either one, I'd cut a bitch lol). But eventually...I realised I had nothing to fear and just came out with it. Never been happier...and those that stuck around were the real friends.

Come on out...let P guide you to the purple rain....wink
