That doesn't sound like Prince! What Prince song do you think sounds the least like him (excluding instrumentals), something that would surprise people.

101 really came as a shock 2 me, i mean i LOVE this song SO much, it's a masterpiece, such an emotional violence, but it sounds SO unlike Prince. The first time i heard 'Sometimes it snows in april' i thought: hey, this doesnt sound like what he usually does.
I mean, yes, I could hear it was him, but there is a subtleness and subduedness to the song that is quite uncommon to the majority of his music. | |

I've always thought of I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man as the odd one out, but I realise how stupid it may sound to others
The guitar solo is very Prince-like without doubt, but the rest of the music... I don't know...
The same goes for Play in the Sunshine IMO. You mean you're gonna actually hear what we play tonight? You're not gonna make up the notes in your mind? |
