1988, at the arena and then after outside the club... His entrance for the Lovesexy concert was intense. The lights went out, and the entire stadium screamed. You could scoop a chunk of excitment out of the air.
Later that night, we were loitering around what appeared to be a catering van outside a club (Ocean Club in Houston), and we were even leaning up on it. Limos were parked out front. We walked a few paces away, and a light came on in the van, and there was his unmistakeable sillhouette in a back side window. He then left the van into the club, in all yellow (like a yellow version of the polka dot suit, no dots) My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

The first time I saw Prince was 12/18/10. My reaction wasn't crazy like I thought. I was just in shock and enjoyed the show. I thought it was awesome and I would love to see him again and again and again. I'm still in awe and can't believe I was in the front row seat watching him. He looks really good just like on tv.

The first time I saw Prince was in Purple Rain at my aunt's house. I was not even a teenager yet but she had a mad crush on him so she influenced me and I've been a fan ever since. Now I have my nieces into Prince as well!

The 1st. time I saw Prince... in person. Wow. I had forgotten about because it, the music and everything had become such a part of me,. Well I was like 15, 16 or so but if I concentrate on it I could remember the date. Anyway what stands out , is that at one point during the concert, I just stopped and stared. I was in awe. And then I saw him say, "Why are you looking at me like that? I just stood there mute and all squeezed and thick with love. The girl I was with elbowed me, laughing, she yell in my ear that he's talking to me and all I do is quiver. I had forgotten all about that until she reminded me this year in a letter. Good question, hard not to expand.

Front row
7 months pregnant
I was so stunned to just be breathing the same air as Prince that I don't really remember the show that much.

I had $35. nosebleed seats. I was just happy to be there.
Not anymore, though...

I'm finding I'm starting to get kinda picky about my Prince shows.
Not gonna travel too far.
Not pushing and shoving to be front row in a General Admission (GA) show.
Would prefer not to have a GA show frankly.
Don't mind paying for good seats, but was really bothered by reports that the VIP tickets in NY/NJ had a bad view of the stage. Then basically just celebrity VIP's were admitted to the aftershows.
This is no slam on Prince. Baby is gonna do what he wants to do, I'm just finding I now am beyond killing myself for a show. Give me a nice area (I'd say seat, but I wouldn't be sitting ) with a good view of the stage and I'll be happy. I'm firmly planted in denial
