Hate it. It's fake funk. Sounds like a Disco tune outtake. And who the hell is Chelsea Rogers anyways. Tired of hearing about this song. Dive deeper into Prince's catalog if you want to hear some real funk. Start with Erotic City. | |

Opinions on this song have really crashed. I remember the first initial reports on Planet Earth, people were going nuts over this track, saying it was like Chic or Jamiroquai even.
I still really like, but then I've always been a fan of the album. This particular song slots great into an expanded Rainbow Children compilation IMO.
I'll give you one guess.

Yes, it's great uptempo party song and could easily replace Disco heat in the 2010 setlist. As a matter of fact both tracks were played back to back at the Viage warm up gig in November, and yes it rocks live.
I really think it was a(nother) lost opportunity that the slated single release never materialised. The video was adequate even though the editing could have been improved. Cue, yeah, yeah Prince dont care about charts, sales etc.
It's nothing groundbreaking, but for me it's a standout track on the Planet Earth and always puts a smile on my face. The lyric is a bit strange, so I just concentrate on the music. Prince is a musician not a lifestyle. | |
