How many of you think LOVESEXY should've ended with I WISH U HEAVEN ?

Many of the albums in Prince's post SOTT ended with questionable songs. If there are any more list them here.

Actually, I think his most questionable album ender was pre Sign Of The Times:

"Temptation" from Around The World... that conversation with god... what was he thinking?

End.

That's like asking "what do you think the Mona Lisa would've looked like without that stupid smile?"

No way. Positivity is quite possibly my favorite song on the second half of Lovesexy. Much better than 'Heaven' IMO. Ok, so maybe it's not better than the title track...

Positivity is one of his most experimental & haunting trax ever, the best thing on lovesexy.. You have to hear the version from a show done in 88 in i believe at a NY Roseland
aftershow, it's a full version note for note, incredible.

"lovesexy" without "positivty" is like "purple rain" without "when doves cry"

I love the song but it seems misplaced to me, almost like the two songs should be switched .

The only questionable album ending I can think of right now
is "Orgasm" on "Come". That's really awful.

It would've been better if he'd ended it with a song like
"Strays of the World" or "What's My Name?".

Positivity is a standout track on Lovesexy. The choir bit
of "shall the court sing together..." is very beautiful.

cheap snare sound, ruins the

I do think that it should have. Most definately.

Positivity is my favorite song on LoveSexy, and I think it's a perfect end. That's like Prince without heels: It just ain't right!

I've always thought Lovesexy was a great great album bookended by two very average songs. I No and Positivity. Sure they probably sound good today because of half the junk Prince has put out since but during that period they were second rate.

To answer the question though another song should've rounded off Lovesexy. To finish with I Wish U Heaven would be far too abrupt. I dont know maybe Positivity is appropriate. I've never liked it though because it's rather dull.

I the fact that Lovesexy ends with Positivity. It's just a really good final song especially because it ends with the sound of water and all that. I think that makes the album in a sense.

And the fact that it started with Eye No, an up-tempo party "sing-along" track and ended with Positivity, a chilled out piece of genius, was a masterstroke. Every non-Prince fan who I played Lovesexy to absolutely loved Positivity, it was so fresh and different to the other music that was going on at the time in '88.
