Of all the things he's done to ruin his street cred, this is what they consider jumping the shark?

THe fact that Prince did THe View years ago was not mentioned by the so called Prince expert on the TWZ show. If you look at the demographic of the show and what is probably the biggest demographic of Prince's most loyal fanbase - middle aged women - it makes great marketing sense for Prince to do that show. Sherry personified this demographic - albeit a little over the top.

Prince is still the smartest marketing rock star.

It's promotion pure and simple. A lot of people watch those cackling hens every day on The View.

Prince got what he wanted...The ladies at the view gave sparkling reviews of his concert to a national audience. It's easy for the losers at TMZ to criticize as they feel worthless (and are) in comparison to Prince. What legacy will TMZ leave behind - not a damn thing. But Prince, on the otherhand, made his impact. He has nothing to prove to anyone.

Never ever liked the show, pure trash, and disrespectful show...so their opinion is mute and matters very little...saying Prince was a way to get additional Publicity...never liked it...pure disrespectful show...now I like it even less....if that was posssible.

I wouldn't see a dumb american show like The View, it just looks so hysterical for my taste.

but Prince really amazed me there. He looked so good, so sexxy.

TMZ is a crap show in every respect. The format is annoying and Harvey Levin is a smug idiot who thinks he's important because he stands in front of a white board dissecting Britney Spears' weave or Lindsey Lohan's panty flash. Who cares what that show says about Prince. Prince is the one with talent and who created a career based on that talent while those TMZ bottom feeders are nothing but scavangers.
