Are these rare items? which is the better find? 1 or 2

It would be nice to find both.

Been to princevault,ebay and amazon.They were not very helpful.

As far as I can tell,the B sides was only released to cd.

Saw the Hits 1 yesterday and didn't pick it up.The completist in me wants both sets.

Just wondering if I should go back and get it?

I'm a Prince vinyl completist but I never purchased those because I felt like it was stuff I already had. I would say they are at least a bit rare, but I'm only basing that on the fact that I regulalry check the Prince vinyl bins and I never see them.

These sets are getting harder to get and prices are high if they are in good condition. I already have both sets, but personally I would not pay the prices that some are asking on eBay if I still needed them for my collection. I guess you have to ask yourself how much you really need them and how much you are willing to pay.

I thought/do the same thing.

I was suprised to see it this time out.I kept flipping through to see if I could find The Hits 2.

Since it was not there, I passed.But felt uneasy,as I'm trying to get all the major releases on vinyl.

There's a copy of The Hits 1 on ebay right now.

$80.00 is a bit steep.

I collect Prince vinyl too and i constantly check ebay etc for collectables.

I have seen copies of The Hits before but they have all been used copies, and are few and far between, i would say that they are quite rare, though i am not 100% certain about this.

I'm very fussy and only buy brand new/unused vinyl. I recently had the chance of an unused copy of The Rainbow Children, for just over £100 UK........and i missed it .

I've been looking for "For You", "Dirty Mind" and those B-sides for a while too... Wonder if they're out of print... So the B-sides actually don't exist on vinyl? hum ...

Without Vinyl, there would be no b-sides. I have run into many a 12 inch single over the last few times I have been to a record store. Forgot to check when I got my U2 Wide Awake In Europe.

I've got the two I think they're beautiful...

I just love to collect vinyls (at reasonable prices though...).

So...,I go back to the record shop.Kind of nervous that the album won't be in the bin.

And to my relief,it's there still.Since it was the only thing I came in the store for.I snatch it up and head to the counter.

While paying for the album,the guy behind the counter asked me why I did not pick this up the day before.I told him why.

That I would have loved to been able to get the complete set.

To my dismay he informed me that the person who sold the "ablums"..."albums?"

I really didn't want to hear anymore.

Long story short.The set came in complete,someone snatched

Hits 2 a few days before I even saw Hits 1.

I was lucky to be in the store at the right time yesterday.Because of the holiday's/Sat.,I'm pretty sure it would have been gone by the end of the day.

Now, I need Planet Earth and LotusFlower.

BEWARE!! Planet Earth does not officially exist on vinyl. Not even as a promo.

Vinyl copies were sold in black die cut sleeves as a promo, these are fakes. Quite convincing, but fakes nonetheless.

The French Lotus and Mpls vinyls are nice items. The 2 disc vinyl version of Lousflower/Mplsound is a cool item, and very limited, only 2000 copies were made, it comes with a fold out poster.

Never seen it before.But the picture reminds me of the cover of Crucial.

The Musicology vinyl is nice.I actually have two copies of that.One still sealed.

Can't wait for the Lotus/MLS.

The D&P laserdisc is on my list.I have the Batman laserdisc.There may be a couple more that I have,I would have to look through things.
