Also, most Christmas songs that you hear on the radio are coming from various Christmas compilation CDs and "Another Lonely Christmas" isn't on any of them.

about a week ago i was getting in my car turned on the radio was 107.5 wbls ny during Steve harvery show and Another lonely christmas was playing..at first i thought it was one of my cds but it wasnt it was on the radio, i was surprised to hear it, it made my day.....

I love Another Lonely Christmas! Remember playing it in my college dorm @ Miami University in the 80s. It was so appropriate - my room mate and I were the only ones left in our wing - everyone else had gone home for break. We were feeling sorry for ourselves that we were left alone!

Absolutely, I have had a few lonely Christmases. It's a good song to listen to an feel sorry for yourself! LOL Just kidding. I think it really shows Prince's abilities to be remembered just as much as Bethoveen or Mozart.

There are a lot of songs that are so bad they're good.

But this is not one of them.

Because, IMHO, it's not a very good song.

It's certainly not an uplifting song at all.

I played this in my wife's shop today. She jokingly opined that the music I was playing was so miserable it would drive her customers away, and asked if I had anything more Christmassy. So I put Another Lonely Christmas on. She didn't think it was much of an improvement.

Well hell we might as well make this a theme song for Christmas 2012!
