Years ago, back when Craig Rice produced the band Mazarati, my roommate and I were asked by Craig, bandmembers of Mazarati, and a "mystery" man to leave with them and fly with them to Minneapolis. They said they were going to meet up to jam with Prince and encouraged us to come along. Like an idiot, I turned the offer down. I told them no and that I didn't want to meet Prince like that. Earlier in the evening, I told Craig I wanted to get into the business but didnt' want Prince to get me there. So I don't get it, what chance did you blow? He hit on you, you went with him, sounds like it was what it was, an encounter.

If I would have know what the payoff to the original story was, I could have shared my chance with Prince. I had no idea when he tapped me on the shoulder and moved that he was trying to get with me.

Had I been less shy and intimidated, I could have tried to iniate a conversation (much easier to do back then at the parties especially considering who I was around). When I refered to "a chance", I didn't necessarily mean "sexual", I might as well have said "who had a chance to get to know him". I'm not attacking Mars. I'm defending my opinion and the ones of the ladies who wanted to share their "chance" (as wide as a definition as it can be) with Prince. I had a chance or two...to speak with him that is...but...I just couldn't speak. I've told my "high five" story before but the short version is... First celly, in the small party room, sitting on the stairs next to the soundboard area, he was behind the soundboard, I turned around to look at him, he looked at me, I stuck my hand out (palm up) he looked at it...and back at me with a look as if to say "what?" he slapped me 5, turned his hand over and I slapped him 5 and I turned back around.

So it's finally over, I go into the bathroom and I have tiny specs of disintegrated gum stuck all over my lips. Nice impression Angel...real nice.

Amberella, I perfer not too...even though I would love to:) There is sooo much.... my lil girl was born on my fathers birthday, who never got to see her, he died 7/7/98. Apparently, the 10th had marked as well. In short, 6/19 is Juneteenth, the African-American celebration of Independence, which I served as a voluteer coordinator of for over 4 years @ that point. And 2/10 is my daughters and fathers birthday:) ...maybe just a coincidence..i don't no;-) Needless to say ..I ordered one 4 months into the year because I had to have it in my hand. It was nice to share with daughter when she got older.

Hmm, during the Celly days we had the opportunity to ask one ? Which I did and it got answered8-) That was the best!

I don't communicate with him anymore. Last thing I asked as a result of speaking w/ a ol friend of his was, "Where are you?" I got a bite, yet I got tired of play the game so I changed the rules and moved on. He is doing fine, he is doing what he loves, playing his guitar.
