what do you think of Prince's jazz licks on keyboard?

I think you mean the Loring Park recordings.

They were recorded by Prince, Andre Cymone and Bobby Z in 1977 at Owen Husney's Loring Park office.

His father was a jazz musician, he grew up with jazz.

I really can't hear jazz on these recordings, i hear more funk than jazz. They do sound jazzy i suppose.

I love these instrumentals...I just wish I knew the names of the tracks....I think these tracks are a little more jazzy than some of his other earlier stuff.
