Maybe you know me from YT as ShhHoney or Princelicous. I can't stand it. I upload a lot of Prince's albums (e.g. Exodus, The Slaughterhouse, 94 East or Madhouse) and songs (outtakes etc.). And NPG Records, WMG or The Publisher remove them. WHY ?! I ask you WHY ?! Did I something wrong ? I don't write, that videos, songs are mine. Now, I have two warnings, when i get third, they'll removed my account. AGAIN. I don't wanna do it again for all time. But, what i can do ?

We/I have three solution:

1. Nothing.

2. Write feedback/petition/complaint to YT.

3. Don't use words "Prince", "The Revolution", "New Power Generation" in the names of video. Replace them with other words like "PR", "Purple Yoda". Maybe then, NPG Records won't deleted videos ?

what you did wrong was violate Prince's copyrights to those songs. I doubt they would sue you over them, but it is a risk you take. for some reason he is very picky about it.

my advice, don't bother to put that stuff on youtube. if people want to hear that stuff, they'll go to their own collection or a specific streaming site. it's not your music to give away is the point they're trying to make.

You violated copyright law. It doesn't matter if you say the songs are yours or not. What you're doing is very illegal and Prince is well within his rights to have your uploads taken down. It's a bummer but oh well.

Do you not know about the lawsuit regarding a child singing/dancing to one of his songs and it got pulled? You do know that Prince has a big issue with posting his music to Youtube, right? If not let me get you up to date...He Does!

It was the lady that sued "prince."

In short a woman posted a short clip of her kid dancing to 'let's go Crazy.' Prince (web sheriff or whoever) had it taken down with a minor threat to sue. The woman filed the counter claim and said it fell under fair use. Then the woman sued "prince" for harassment and won.

the youtube stuff it bullshit. how they delete stuff. all the clips from last nights show are gone already and me w/o internet access to watch me.

i posted a clip from family guy once. they deleted it. and yet a billion other ppl have clips posted...

you CAN post videos to myspace and facebook and twitter.

If you are Prince, you can post all the Prince videos you want. If you are not Prince, then no. It's no different than putting up movies, tv shows or copying someone's books or magazines. You do not have legal permission to copy the work of another person and put it out there for the world. Just like it always has been the law since before the internet existed.

You know - YT uses special algorythm to search for copyright protected songs.

It actually analysies the frequency of the song and compare it to original as written in database.

If you want it to be kep you might try to alter ut (changing pitch: lower or increase).

They would nor remove it

But: IT IS AGAINST (!!!) the law
