Should Prince do the Howard Stern Show? Wouldn't now be a great time in Prince's career (and in Stern's career) to go on the Howard Stern Show? It would be just lovely to hear them both talk. They are both more mature now and I'd sure could carry a decent conversation without either of them getting too uncomfortable.

As a fan of both of those guys, I'd have to say that would be the greatest interview ever!

............until Howard starts asking Prince about his past romance/sexual relationships.
I wouldn't trust Howard that easily.

yeah....no. Howard will DEFINITELY ask Prince about past romance/sexual stuff....all Prince has to do is laugh it off. The bigger deal Prince makes about it the more howard will press on. I've heard plenty of interviews with Howard like Paul McCartny, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder...etc where he askes the sexual questions but the celeb just laughs it off and says they don't kiss and tell or changes the subject and Howard is fine with it and moves on to more appropriate questions. Come on PRINCE! DO IT! "not a fan" yeah...ok

I don't think this would be a great match up for an interview.
Prince likes things to go his way. Howard likes things to go his way. Their ways don't seem quite mesh-y.
I think in the end Howard would come out with what he wants as it's his show/environment and in the end he wants to wow his audience, but that would make it a great Howard Stern show, not a great Prince interview.
OR
He and Prince would work quite well together and it could be great.
Really could go either way.
I'm firmly planted in denial

Howard Stern comes off like a buffoon and if P couldn't control the 'tempo' of the interview it wouldn't be that long ... LoL Peace ... & Stay Funky ...

Didn't Howard Stern go to one of Prince's concerts and say it was horrible and that Prince was an Asshole? I hate Howard Stern's show anyways it's trashy.

Well, I'm not sure how the business end of the show works, but I remember Borat being on the show, completely in character, and none of the Stern employees broke the character and called him Sacha. So, clearly some arrangement/agreement was made beforehand that everyone would play along with the Borat role.
So, similarly, I would imagine similar agreements are made with guests to not discuss certain topics or do certain things.
For example, I could imagine Stern's crew could play physical pranks on, say, Steve-O, but someone like Prince or Paul McCartney or Willie Nelson would make demands ahead of time so that none of those antics would happen. [Edited 12/15/10 20:51pm]

Howard Stern would rip Prince to shreds in that interveiw. "Don't make me chase u, even doves have pride.."

You would think that, but Prince is pretty quick witted and I think he could handle himself. [Edited 12/15/10 21:03pm]

Because Stern is a dick..More so than Prince. "Don't make me chase u, even doves have pride.."

True, but Stern is also personally a huge Prince fan. I do believe he'd show Prince respect, so long as Prince was honest.

Hell to the Naw. Please don't lower yourself to his level. [Edited 12/15/10 21:51pm]

Absolutely. Two of my all-time favorites. Howard is one of the best interviewers out there and has a way of cutting through a celebrity's b.s. to get them to relax and get real answers out of them.
But today (12/16) is the last day of his show for the year, so it better be today, or the opportunity is probably lost.
I would absolutely die if Prince went on the Stern show. Dream come true. And Howard loves him.
