There is a video tape being passed around among college students. Reportedly, if you watch it, you'll receive a mysterious phone call and then die 7 days later.

The video tape is a long version of Graffiti Bridge. True story! smile

I just don't like it, bad acting, dreadful costumes, too dark and gloomy (Its all steamy and greasy nightclubs in the middle of the darkest nights in history), badly dated. I would give it 1/10 and rank it up there with gems like The Apple

So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

In fact, I don't really get why is this even a thread.

You wanna see GB? Ok, go watch it. Why should we know (or care)?

I don't wanna sound rude but I never understood this type of threads.

It's just so ridiculously self-indulgent. And quite a lot of it just sucks. For me it was the first time bearing witness to a Prince creation

that in my heart I knew was an embarrassing piece of shit. 1990 was a little tough in that regard. neutral

it's worth a watch - try to think of it as a longform video rather than a motion picture though!

It was very interesting. Held my attention. I loved the look and the style in which it was made. Loved the music, and thought it was pretty funny at times. (thoughts, not exact words from a 6 yr. old me at the time lol) My opinion still hasn't changed much about it. My first "good" dreams involved Ingrid Chavez from the "Joy in Repetition" scene, so this flick will always hold a special place in this young man's heart.

I remember Entertainment Weekly's harsh review of this film, where they wrote:

To call this movie a longform music video is an insult to music videos

lol but seriously,it really is just an extended music video.Just not a very good one.

...and EW really has it right. lol

GB no more deserved a theatrical release than did 3 Chains O' Gold, etc... 3 Chains at least "looks" better.

If you think of it as a major motion picture, it's dreadful.

If you think of it as a fairly impressive community theatre musical, you can sort of giggle your way through it. razz

Iv'e not watched it for years....This album and film bring back oh so many good memories it's hard for me to knock it.

It always reminded me of the 60s Batman series, with it's slapstick approach and vague storyline.

You kinda loved it but never really understood what the hell was going on. The music saved the day kinda!! wink ......i need to get this on dvd.....happy days cool
