Dirty Mind Survivor Round 2 This first round was great, we had 2 songs neck and neck the whole time, so I got rid of both of them and we will again in the case of any ties or near ties. So the results are

Somethin' about it just never caught me, it's a good song but not Prince-dominated. Totally has to do with Day writing it. Gotta Broken Heart Again was first choice, but then thought about it & chose Partyup Yes, at 19, I finally saw the Revolution, a legendary band. And I talked to Wendy!!!  In addition to seeing Prince, I have now lived life. Thank you Purple People!! | |

Why would you get rid of both songs in the case of a 'near-tie'?

Because they were neck and neck the whole time, and also it helps the Rounds go quicker. In this case Sister got 15 votes and Do it all night got 14, a vote after I shut the thread was for Do it all night so it was real close. The next song got 6 votes. With results that clear, its obvious that which of the 2 songs survive would go in the next round. If it was like 20 votes for one song and only 11 for the other I would eliminate only one song. Plus its one less round to worry about, although Dirty Mind will be a quick survivor as its only 8 songs, but I know survivor threads die quickly if you are doing round after round with lesser albums like Chaos and Disorder and voting off one mediocre song after another.
I only do this up to the top 5, by that stage wether its a tie or not, only one track goes. So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time | |
