Well, when we did it was in the dead of winter and the poor guard inside had his bicylce (Bicycle! doesn't Prince pay enough so the dude could buy a car?) propped up against the side of the crappy guard shack, and had a small t.v. inside that actually had wire hanger bunny ears for reception , and a George Foreman grill, where my husband swears he saw the guy warming his hands (there must not have been any heat inside) anyway, we asked if this were Prince's house and the guy tells us he can't tell us that and so we leave- My husband joked that the guard was that former rapper of Prince's Tony- haha- anyway, how can Prince drive into his big mansion while some poor dude is riding his bicycle to work in the dead of winter and warming himself by the George Foreman grill?

Okay so then, one night we drive up to Paisley Park- the gates were open and we just wanted to pull up and have a good look at the paintings on the walls, which you could see better at night- We didn't get out of the car we just pulled up right to the front doors while we were drinking our Caribou Coffees, me, my husband and our children who were 8 and 10 at the time- so anyway, we're admiring the murals and then my daughter gasps and says, "there he is!" and we didn't see him so we turned around and asked her, "What? where?" and she points to the top of the stairs where he is standing with some doo-rag on his head. Btw- he was wearing a do-rag, nice sweater, pants and high heels- anyway- Prince sees us and I guess he doesn't realize we were just a family with children, and he's alone so he gets spooked and runs down the stairs, when he got to the bottom of the steps he tripped on his high heel and almost fell, as he was rounding the stairs to run down the hall- some guy meets him at the bottom- Prince says something to him and the guy comes outside. My daughter got out of the car and carried her CD to the guy and says, "Hi will you ask Prince to sign this?" Prince sees her and when he realizes this is nothing more than a family - he struts down the hall like George Jefferson and out of sight- meanwhile the guy comes up to our window, asks us what we're doing, we tell him we just wanted to look at the murals and my daughter gets back in the car. She holds her CD out the window and again, asks the dude if Prince will sign her CD. The guys says, "Sorry, I know him and he won't." He tells us to leave and we do. Of course we were invading his space but couldn't he sign a CD for a little girl? Oh and by the by, My daughter is now 20 and stunning, she puts that Bria Valente to absolute shame- but I'm sure he still wouldn't sign her CD- he's kind of an asshole-

But, Ive heard stories of fans meeting Prince before and I dont think I would ever want to meet him personally. He doesnt seem like a very nice person at all.

Well, we as a family are HUGE Prince fans but it's not as pathetic as all that- we would go out to dinner- go to the Chanhassen dinner theater, shop at the mall, my daughter and I went to the salon there- It's really a nice town and not as pathetic as it sounds to go there just to stalk Prince- We were just hoping to one day see him or meet him and it was exciting to see him no matter how pathetic anyone thinks it is-

really no one thinks this is over the top stalker material .. dude your respect for your daughter is very questionable, are u trying to sell her to prince or something .. and this "but we are a family" excuse is pretty dysfunctional as well .. regardless of whatever laws may be in place to prevent people like you from roaming free, do you really think its appropriate to be peeping in peoples windows, do really think thats the right way to get an autograph on your cd .. the asshole is in your mirror .. go look now .. maybe you can get an autograph if you hurry

Gotta add my vote to the increasingly creepy nature of this thread.

- Starts with a post about the poster's family and mostly her daughter with a Prince stalking angle.

- Adds response to stranger asking for pics of said daughter.

- Stranger starts posting pics of daughter on internet.

- Additional strangers begin to comment on pics.

- Thread becomes pimping of 20 (or 17 depending on your math skills) year old girl.

Is there anything to add about Prince here or should we move the stalking to GD now?

That's a great story

You spent weekend stays away from home with your family for the principal purpose of trying to see Prince without invitation, knowingly trespass on his property, and you acknowledge invading his privacy.

And then you call him an asshole because he doesn't give his signature to people.

(Obviously if you have any other great stories about harassment of other people or even retsraining orders that have been issued against you, you could post in one of the other forums for us to enjoy. Please feel free to tell us about how you spend your free weekends now, and post some pics of the rest of the family so we can comment on whether they are more or less atrractive than other people).

Weird thread.

Bragging about stalking Prince is bizarre but then the thread basically turns into a photowhore thread which really hasn't got anything to do with Prince other than indirectly...other such threads get either snipped, moved or even locked so I'm wondering why this one is allowed to go off-topic?

Your daughter is pretty but if she just wants to post pics of herself, the General Discussion forum loves that kind of thing.

Its called stalking, if some family drove right on up to my property and I was strutting around in a doo rag and high heels i would run like a motherfucker too.

In regards to the actual Prince-related aspect of this topic, my question is if the OP and her family are such devoted fans, didn't they have a pretty good idea that asking Prince to sign a CD was utterly futile, PARTICULARLY in the alleged circumstances? (and yeah I know she said her daughter was the one who got out and asked, but I wouldn't have even let my kid get out of the car to do that in the first place) Prince doesn't sign stuff, period. Trespassing on his property and then still requesting an autograph from him takes nerve.

Yea, I have do this before the thread goes further off the deep end.

It may have started with good intentions, but like this video, is getting weird and painful in a hurry.
