"Motherless Child"

I'm crazy about song "Motherless Child" that Prince was singing live in some place. But I cannot find this song in albums that I have. Have he ever released this song on his albums?

This public domain song has never been made commercially available by Prince.

If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

google it with Septimo [Spanish performance], P was truly inspired that night and the spirit was with him. This is 1 of his all time great performances. Enjoy!

I remember when youtube had live footage of P performing live "Motherless Child".

But that video was taken down, it was a joy to watch him sing, dance and play guitar.

That's the only one we all know and love. Reportedly Prince did not want to perform that day on the show, and the promoter/show host actually grabbed him by the shirt and said he would perform or else. Did I get that story right?

Apparently, Prince wanted to cancel the show the show because of issues with the shows producer, but Prince eventually agreed to do the show.

There was also a problem with the interview which was to take place after the performance, Spanish film director Pedro Almodovar refused to interview Prince because he did not like his behaviour, the shows producer eventually did the interview with Prince.

He performed it acoustically at the 2002 Celebration. Alphabet St > Girls & Boys > Motherless Child. Sounds great, too. He's gettin' his baritone on during Motherless Child.

cant believe I've never seen this performance! I know its been discussed several times on the org.

What does Prince mean when he says "Sometimes, just like Richie, i feel like a Motherless Child"

Who's Richie???
