Are these official CD's? I haven't seen them anywhere, but want to know where I could find them... What about the song Oilcan?
Heard a bit of it on the Radio 2 special but surely they wouldn't play a bootleg?

As a completist - yes. It carries a lot of the jazz fusion ideas hinted at on Diamonds and Pearls and O)+> to the next step. Unfortunately, the rap elements are inappropriate and borish. One of the tracks, '2Gether', was on the 1 800 NEW FUNK compilation and another, 'Call the Law', was a b-side from a Diamonds and Pearls single, if you have either - that may give you some idea of the flavor of the project.

I personally love the GN album, it's better(IMO) than Exodus and much better than NPS. The standouts are "Johnny" and "2gether"(from 1800newfunk). The other parts include some campy spoken parts and songs(GN I, II, and III) that are very funny.

Out of the two, I would say "Undertaker" is the must have. Undertaker is performed by the edited version of the NPG band known as the New Power Trio. It is Prince on lead guitar/vocals, Sonny T on Bass, and Michael B on drums - and that's it, no one else. Solid performance from beginning to end.

But Gold Nigga is good too, but in my opinion, Gold Nigga is definitely an "NPG" album and not a "Prince" album. I really get the impression that on Gold Nigga Prince is more or less just dropping by the studio from time to time as the rest of the NPG is working on the album and he only adds his input here and there. Beyond that, there are maybe one or two songs that are clearly Prince penned tracks, while everything else is strictly NPG. But, it really just depends on what you like to listen to.

But, if someone is not a completist, I would say they could live without Gold Nigga before they could live without Undertaker. Just my opinion though.

dont buy from madhousemusic...they're rip offs...go2 eBay.

I have never heard 'GoldNigga' before and just checked on eBay for it.

There's only one up for bid at the moment and it's at $77.99.

For anyone that might know, is that commonly what a copy of this CD goes for on eBay. That's a lot of $$$ for this girl...
