WTF? I just saw a live video snippet in the love symbol interactive cd-rom, where P&the revolution are playing America. Looks like the Parade tour. Annnyway... Prince is playing a blue telecaster with flowers (not unlike my avatar but it's a custom made job) and it looks like Wendy is playing Prince's Hohner leopard skin tele! Did that happen a lot? Does she have her own Hohner? She's playing some damn good rhythm too. Maybe I should check out the solo albums

Not sure if she had her own but its quite a common guitar of that time. The telecaster shape itself was the prototype for the electric guitar (originally called the broadcaster). Before the strat, before the gibson, there was the tele.

Due to this & its simple design, its a relatively easy guitar to play by comparison to many of the newer model guitars. Many die hard telecaster users insist that fender got it right the first time

I think Ive seen Wendy using a tele like Prince's too. Also, I saw a concert once where Prince throws the tele up in the air after a solo & it crashes in a mangled heap behind him as the band go into the next section of the medly. Maybe there are several copies made of his tele & he keeps the real thing at home.
