Orgers, I have a 23 year old question and can't find it nowhere. In the beginning of the video for Another Lover Whole In Your Head, what is praying saying in the beginning of the video while he's sitting at the edge of the stage? I'm not a lip reader so what was he saying?

the way i see it he was "picking on" someone who threw something on the stage.

to me it looks like "..........oh come on.......whats wrrrrrrrong?!"

I also just watched it, weird how Wendy plays the guitar left handed...

I know why but that seems like they are knowingly trying to get past the law or the copyright. Seems that could make matters worst for them if they were ever sued.

That's always what I've "read," too.

That's still my favorite video of all time, by the way. He looks like a slice of lemon meringue pie in that suit - totally edible.

For some reason I've always translated it this way: Another Lover Who (put a) hole in your head

Which would be an incorrect translation.

Needing something like you need a hole in the head is an American colloquialism which basically means you don't need the thing in question, at all.

What Prince means when he says, "You need another lover like you need a hole in your head" is that she doesn't need another lover, period. She'll never find another who can do for her what he does - sexually and otherwise.

It's pretty straightforward - but may be confusing in this case because the thread author misspelled the title of the song.

I know that.. it's just that before I got to know what it meant, the first time I listened to Parade (I was like what? 11 or 12..) of course I didn't know what the title meant and tried to figure it out with explanations like the one I wrote down :p
