Just for the awesomeness that such a duet would have meant- aside from the cliché:
Prince & Michael Jackson.

Bowie and Trent Rez
Some folks posted Steview Wonder and Lenny Kravitz...does "What's The Fuss" count as a Wonder collab? And doesnt "Again" by Kravitz count since it 'supposedly' cops Whatever You Do lol?
One big one in reverse is the relevant time back in the day collaboration with Madonna. It seemed like Love Song never happened or wasnt the splash that it should have been, on a Bad scale. Maybe that's what makes it quaint.
Thing is I iwsh the collaborations with Wonder, Bowie, and Reznor happened when all were in their prime or at least "Golden Years" and not twilight years.
(Some say Loose etc is a Reznor influenced..I buy that).

I read somewhere that Jack Nicholson wanted Prince and Mike to do the Batman sountrack together, Prince would do half & Mike the other. I think that would have been more interesting than doing a duet on Bad. Here's my picks:
Deee-lite Terence Trent D'Arby/Sananda Chante' Moore The Police George Harrison Lisa Lisa Duran Duran Marvin Gaye Johnny "Guitar" Watson OutKast Beastie Boys (Not rapping per se, but on a groove like the instrumentals they put out.) George Benson Antonio Carlos Jobim Baden Powell Lisa Stansfield

I think Jack White is the only artist today that can bring Prince out of his rut. A younger and adventurous musician that can balance innovation without the bored glossy veneer that has plagued Prince's work of the last 20 years. If not Jack White then Rick Rubin. Rick has done wonders with artists of almost every music denomination.

This I've thought alot about....
I want to hear Prince sing with.. Teena Marie, Alicia Keys, and Sade. I think all the women here match his style.
And since he loves Janelle so much, a duet with her might would be interesting...
Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

it would awesome if prince and MJ did a collabo "Im Starting With The Man In The Mirror, Im Asking Him To Change His Ways" if more ppl followed this quote it'll be less violence and responsibility☺

so i got the vault on...when the lights go down is on and i'm thinking how great it would be for him to do a song with DIDO. now shes got a great funky coffee house type vibe to her songs and this song reminds me of her!

absolutely no collabs, but i do get excited when i see a new female musician on the scene. latest addition ida the bass, but i believe female talent do him the world of good, great inspiration & all that. i think the w2a tour will be interesting, i'd like to see him do something slinky with esperanza spalding in fact i liked the orchestral stuff he did with clare fischer, so would like to see him work with anyone that can introduce some classical (but funky) strings

You beat me to it. I have said for years now, Teena and Prince. Way more interesting that Beeyonce swinging that hair. Funny after that performance with Beyonce, Prince went out and found 2 more just like her... the Twinz. "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack

Oh please don't give Kirk any ideas. Before he teams up with Prince, he will just remake When Doves Cry into "When the Angels Cry... on Mount Olive".... or some BS like that.

Oh, oh OHHHH!! No you didn't!!!
But you did... and I have to cosign THIS!!!
I saw this woman perform on the Johnny Carson show. She was cracking, hitting flat notes, going off key etc. It was so bad I just knew she must have been sick... you know Laryngitis or something. I actually admired her... you know 'the show must go on".
Then 3 weeks later I saw her perform Live on Saturday Night Live... same dang thing! Then I KNEW.. Sade, although I love her vibe and style... She was not blessed with an outstanding voice.
Okay, I'm gonna run and hide now. "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack
