i absolutely love this photo & am hoping to get it on canvas 4 xmas...but would prefer a modified version/contempory look..

the colours are too vivid & sharp & i'm hoping someone with good artistic eye & clue how to improve this pic, special effects, offers, suggestions, ideas.

I'd get him photoshopped into a blue, cloudy sky, with some clouds in the forefront just below the waist, with two or three doves in the distance swooping upward in the direction he's looking.

I would see how I could blur out the background only (same colors) to make it look like a timed exposure pic, something like this one.

Hmm, I love this pic and have been thinking of getting this blown up into a poster. But I was thinking of just putting him onto a solid black background with some neat little Prince saying.."Welcome 2 The Dawn" came to mind. If you want to just modify that setting, I would take out all that red and yellow and add purple and blue tints. That red and yellow in the background is just too distracting!

I love that photo as well Doffie and I have a few ideas for you......

These were done with just some basic photo software. The amount of different things you can do with a photo these days are limitless! I used purple as the color in some of these but you can choose any color that suits your personal taste or maybe to match the decor of where you end up putting it......It's only limited by your imagination! I think these days the classic way is just in black and white but in the top one I thought it would look cool with just the guitar highlighted! (wish it was a cloud though..LOL) I also softended the background a little bit to make him stand out a little more. Well I hope these will give you some ideas and your more than welcome to them and if not they will make some great wallpaper on your computer!

i've got photoshop, but didn't have a clue where to start.. so spent much of yesterday having a go.

i immediately loved digifuwill examples, especially the 1st one, very effective & i keep coming back to that one. will probably go with something along those lines.

i spent ages cutting him out & chopped his fingers off a few times.. he was tried on a plain background, but can't decide on a colour & i will try the clouds if i can work that out.. thanks again & if photobucket lets me i'll post a pic of my canvas after crimbo! cheers all x

I was going to say darken the background, but somebody already took care of it for you
