Both shows were in Abu Dhabi, one was in a bar (hence the drink) and the other was at the formula 1 racing. I am a British expat and I can tell you there is plenty of drink and plenty of partying here, please don't believe everything you read in the papers. You can drink in bars, clubs, restaurants etc but not encouraged on the streets etc. Yes you can bring the bible or other religious book and there are churches you can go to as well:)

I have lived in Dubai for the past 4 years and I can honestly say I loved it, there is nothing I miss (apart from family).

Prince was amazing and even said a few words in arabic, even though 90% of the crowd were not arabs!

She is pretty over dressed compared to some of the clothing I see in the malls here!! It is a muslim country but not like how you might imagine it to be. I went to the concert and was next to a guy who was here on holiday from the US, he was telling me how surprised he was about how liberal things were and how people just love to party, the clubs etc were amazing. He said he could get a job here he would love to stay.....

He didn't really 'perform' as such but she was part of the crowd when he invited people on stage, she sang a few lines of Love Bizare while standing on his piano. I think she was there because her boyfriend (Lewis Hamilton,F1 driver) was there after the race.
