Prince's Best and Worst Album Covers? Just alphabetizing my CDs, and for the first time in years, putting all my Prince CDs together.
With my holder you put certain covers on "display;" kind of like a little piece of art.
I think the Prince CD covers that are coolest for me would probably be:
The Gold Experience, Sign O' The Times, and The Beautiful Experience.
I wouldn't want to necessarily showcase the covers for:
Rave or Lovesexy.

I´m serious, mb... nothing wrong with a plain, minimalistic (non-)color cover. Certainly a much better idea and aesthetic statement than a lot of his other covers | |

Best: Dirty Mind - Simple and Stark, shows the album has an agenda before you even open it. Parade - Black and White, stylish and simple, Prince looks very accessible Symbol - The actual symbol on the cover and bizarro middle eastern theme with chains and minarets all works well. 3121 - Great use of shadow photography, well shot.
Worst: Batman - Just a corporate symbol, if you are lucky a portrait of Prince in shadow appears on inside back cover The Vault - Ultra Cheep ass photoshopped title and graphics. Yucky typhoon hairstyle TRC - Repulsive artwork, showing Prince looking like an emaciated junkie and band members with borderline 1940s style coon art. So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time | |
