Days of Wild (studio version) Is the new 4DF release (1994 DAT) the best sounding recording out there? I love it, but compared to live performances of DoW, parts sound kind of muffled (background vocals, the keyborad bleeps, poet 99). Maybe this wasn't a "final mixdown," as they say. Prince might have punched up the mix a bit to release it on The Gold Experience.
Anyway, I'm delighted with this release. Having Days of Wild in its original form is a 16-year old quest finally come true. **sigh** Stand at the crossroads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths...(Jeremiah 6:16) www.ancientfaithradio.com

I'm enjoying the new release. But it is not an "official" new 4DaFunk release. It is a joint venture with Enfant Terrible, hence no 4DF catalogue number. Nice to have Days Of Wild in good quality though. | |

It's the best sounding version I've heard.
