Prince Music Makes Mommy and ME Late This morning, while in the shower, my 4 year old son banged on the glass and yelled "Daddy, you gotta turn off that music!"
I had soap in my eyes and to be honest, I was in a groove as Lay it Down was playing.
"What?" was all I could muster.
My son was obviously upset and I could then see his face come to full focus on me and he loudly repeated "Daddy - You gotta turn off this Prince music! Its gonna make Mommy and me LATE!!!"
I rinsed off, got out of the shower and began to dry myself as my son waited rather impatiently waited for me to turn off the music.
This didnt make sense to me. So, I asked my son, "Joshua, how does Prince music make you and Mommy late?
"I have to keep stopping to dance.", my son replied.
It was then as a father and man, I had to try to put into words what Funky was.

Too cute!! I just love it when little kids dig Prince music...I'm like, yay, new fans!!! My 2yr old nephew(and all his brothers and sisters) knows all the words to Lolita and Kiss and sing and dance like there is no tomorrow when those songs are on. I love it, all of my nieces and nephews want to go to a Prince concert now, I'm so glad they recognize good music and aren't interested in this current stuff..unless its Prince!! 3121 and PR are their fave cds! Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol | |

LOL! Must be an age thing, kids can be so cute at this age! My 5yo son makes me wait until his fav Prince songs are finished b4 we can get out of the car! He loves 2 name a few:
Days of Wild (knows not 2 repeat the "naughty words" (tries 2 play along on the drums 2 it!) ( and says I'd Rather Dress 2 Make a Woman Stare- it sounds so cute! Cinnamon Girl Guitar ( gets his toy guitar sings & dances 2 it when at home) Interactive TMBGiTW Batdance( usually wants it played over & over) Betcha By Golly Wow When Doves Cry Computer Blue Paisley Park remix
If any of the above ( & many others) r playing the whole world stops until they r finished!!!
I love it! Music is a big part of our family so he is bound to be musical!
Prince once tried 2 change his name 2 a symbol so that ur'e mother couldn't find him in the phonebook!
