No its not, it's a perfect rave up send off. And its fairly new so folks can stop complaining that he does not have faith in his new stuff. DOW is not a closer type song for a general audience. That's more for aftershows.

This show was completely overrated. On paper, he's giving the people, who haven't seen him in a long time what they want, but those arrangements make amazing songs sound awful.
If I was your girlfriend was murdered - why so many of those drum breakdowns, awful backing, too overblown - and who let Roger Troutman in on the keyboards - just bad.
I was so angry at what they did to Mountains, I actually did cry. More backing vocals than Prince's, WTF, who's name is on the bill? I thought there was too much Shelby at the o2 - put your hands up?? I don't think so.
Kiss is a parody of it's former self, so much so the Art of Noise version starts to make sense.
This whole show sounds like a Las Vegas Revue show, some of the songs are unrecognisable. I want to forget this ever happened

kinda know what you're saying...I was there and went early, lame Italian public transport, left after purple rain - no regrets (wasn't going to chance getting ripped off in a taxi as I did in Rome)
I think I've been a bit saturated after seeing the o2 arena show 17 times...he's still a great showman tho!

Im gonna wait and see what songs he does during his US tour and if he does the same old stuff Im not going. I love his music and would love to see a show again but Im not paying for a ticket to a show of songs hes done a million times. I am so tired of Lets Go Crazy. I want another tour like One Nite Alone where he focused on the then current material. All the songs on this setlist are great but he needs to consider his fans are listening to the current stuff even if most of the general public just wanna hear his radio heyday hits. I want Compassion, Beginning Endlessly, Laydown, Planet Earth, Black Sweat, Fury, Cinnamon Girl, etc. Come on P throw us a frickin bone. I thought Musicology was the last hits tour. Im sure that was probably to boost ticket sales but I mean he has too big a catalog to play it this safe. Oh yea and NO COVERS. If I wanna hear Sly songs Ill put on his own versions.

Great quality recording of a terribly standard show, for a similar much more atmospheric show, hunt down the Vienna recording....
Let's hope Antwerp is as good as this is soundwise because then we'll finally have a 2nd/3rd GREAT recording of a GREAT 2010 show
